Last weekend, I finally had time when Mother Nature was cooperating well enough to permit me to do some range testing on some of my newer water blaster acquisitions. As noted on iSoaker.com, range tests were completed for the Water Warriors Drench Force, Water Warriors Steady Stream X, Xshot Typhoon Thunder, Nerf Super Soaker DartFire, Nerf Super Soaker Zombie Strike Revenge Infector, Adventure Force Super Storm, and Adventure Force Hydro Blitz. For those interested in the various stats, please visit the specific water blaster model’s page of interest. Instead of merely listing results in this post, I want to share some of my other observations from the range tests. Continue reading “Thoughts on Water Gun / Water Blaster Range Testing (2017)”
New “Splash” Graphics Added to iSoaker.com for 2017
Some more landing page “splash” graphics have been added into the random image display for iSoaker.com. I’ll admit that while I’ve toyed with the idea of making the background image of the header for iSoaker.com also random, I realized it became overly distracting when browsing pages. Changing images are good in some places, but consistency tends to win out for navigational elements.
Buzz Bee Toys’ Website updated
Buzz Bee Toys (now, technically, Alex Brands Buzz Bee Holdings LLC) has now updated their website. While buzzbeetoys.com still works, but it actually redirects visitors to an Alex Brands URL (http://www.alexbrands.com/pa_brand/buzz-bee-toys/) New products for 2017 are shown and it appears some items may even be for sale online (though none appear available at the moment).
Nerf Super Soaker Water Blaster Evolution Tree Updated
Just updated the Nerf Super Soaker Water Blaster Evolution Tree for 2017, though the only part that actually needed to be updated was the “Other” section that covers piston water guns. If 2018 Nerf Super Soakers only have more pump-action water blasters and novelty items, I may opt to stop updating this evolution tree.

Updated the Water Warriors Water Blaster Evolution Tree to include the new items for 2017.
Xshot Typhoon Thunder (2017) Review Posted
Just posted the Xshot Typhoon Thunder water gun review onto iSoaker.com. This lesser known brand by Zuru has released some trigger and piston-based water blasters this year. The Typhoon Thunder is the middle-size of the other models in the Xshot line (seen on the back of its box). Read on to learn more on this newer brand of water blasters.
Water Warriors Drench Force (2017) Review Posted
Water Warriors Drench Force (2017) review posted on iSoaker.com. Tried to explain its interesting nozzle technology and why it likely is able to achieve the advertised range (though actual range testing still needs to be completed).
More pictures and early stats posted for the Water Warriors Drench Force (2017)
Posted some stats and lots more pictures of the Water Warriors Drench Force (2017) on iSoaker.com.
Review under development – range testing needs to be done, but when it gets a little warmer than below freezing!
Soak on!
Acquired: Water Warriors Drench Force (2017)
The Water Warriors Drench Force is the largest of the new water blasters released by Buzz Bee Toys for 2017. It is a large syringe-type water blaster with a top-mounted reservoir, but features a novel nozzle valve. On its packaging, it prominently displays the phrase: “Blasts up to 50 feet!” Will definitely be doing range testing on this water blaster!
More info to come…
Acquired: Water Warriors Steady Stream X
I recently acquired a Water Warriors Steady Stream X. As is suggested by its name, the Steady Stream X is the newest re-styling (and 10th year anniversary) of the original 2007 Water Warriors Steady Stream! More information on this water blaster coming soon…
